I met Paige and Jonathan at the National Wedding Show at Event City in Manchester back in March 2018. Their wedding at The Village Hotel was to be the quickest booking to date!
Paige and Jonathan had booked their special day for May 26th 2019. The wedding ceremony was to be held at their favourite church, St Chad’s in Blakley with the wedding reception at The Village Hotel in Cheadle Hulme.
Paige was having her Bridal Prep with her four Bridesmaids, one flower girl and one page boy at her parent’s house in Salford, Manchester, an hour away from home for me down the M61. Avoiding the traffic was the first hurdle of the day, but I always allow plenty of time.
Bridal Prep was in full swing when I arrived and it wasn’t long before my work began..

With Nicole Mcdonagh applying makeup it was left to Paige’s sister Leanne to style the hair.

Leanne’s perfect hair styling on Paige.

I was under strict instructions to get as many shots of Danie, Paige’s sister looking as daft as possible…. Nailed it.

Sometimes just one shot of the Kurt Geiger shoes isn’t enough….

… and sometimes just one pair of shoes isn’t enough!

Flower girls need their own photoshoots sometimes. We popped out into the sunny garden for this one.

Page boys like to pose too 🙂

Jonathan was waiting for his Bride at the altar, looking dapper in his suit from Slaters.

The Father at this Church has a funny joke about 2 women in the military….. ask him if you ever meet him!

Paige and her Father arrived in the white Limousine from Platinum Limousines.

When I saw this doorway and the window to the left I knew exactly which shot I wanted.

During the service we had a small visitor. The Church dog decided that he wanted to join in but was quickly ushered away by one of the Brothers from the Church much to the amusement of the wedding party.

As a professional Wedding Photographer I don’t leave much to chance. I have spare batteries, lenses, even spare cameras and memory cards. If one camera breaks, no problem, I have 2 more with me. I even have a network of trusted photographers in the North West and further afield who can jump in at a moments notice to provide cover or equipment should the worst happen. What I don’t carry spares of on the day is vehicles! This is a picture of the Vicars car parked in the side of mine! The Rectory has a rather steep driveway and his handbrake must have been faulty as his car decided to roll backwards down the driveway, along the wall and neatly into the side of my little wedding car. Just enough damage for the insurance company to write the car off when I got home. Oh well. Just a lump of metal and nobody got hurt.

After limping my way over to The Village Hotel in Cheadle Hulme I got straight back into capturing details for Paige and Jonathan.

It was sunny, then it rained, then it was sunny again, then it rained…. You get the idea.
During a brief break in the drizzle we took the wedding party out to the field behind the The Village Hotel for the formal portraits.

Whilst inside, The Village Hotel staff were turning the room around ready for the evening party.

Cake cut, first dance then straight into the dancing, including an emotional dance with Dad for Paige.

What a great day with Paige, Jonathan, their families and friends.
