We first met Rebekah and Ross at a wedding fair in Blackpool and quickly decided that shooting their special day would be lots of fun. But as they hadn’t finalised booking their venue there would be a delay in booking us.
We met them again a few months later at The National Wedding Show at Event City in Manchester and having booked their venue, Bartle Hall, they were ready to book their photographer.
I had shot at Bartle Hall in Preston several times before and knew that the team that worked there were excellent at their jobs. Everything runs to time and the presentation is faultless.
I met up with Rebekah for Bridal Prep in one of the stunning suites of Bartle Hall, where Kim Styles was perfecting the ladies hair and Daniella had already made a start on the girl’s makeup. The sunlight was streaming through the windows bathing everyone in a lovely golden light.
Whilst I was with the girls, my second photographer for the day, the very talented Kath Occleston, who I owe a very big thank you too was covering Ross and his chaps in Groom Prep at Bartle Hall.
Rebekah loved the tub in the Bridal Suite so much that she wanted pictures in it! So everyone climbed in at some point.
Rebekah and Ross have two boys and they were keen for the day at Bartle Hall to be as much about them as it was about their wedding vows.
Rebekah looked stunning in her Wedding Dress designed by Pronovias with shoes from Paradox London that matched perfectly. I took the shoes down to the service room for their own little mini-shoot.
The lovely summers afternoon was perfect for drinks on the terrace while the kids ran around the beautiful grounds of Bartle Hall.
After enjoying the sun, everyone returned inside to enjoy the Wedding Breakfast and to heckle the speeches!
The evening sky had just clouded over for our evening portraits, helping with this dramatic image for Rebekah and Ross.
As Rebekah and Ross cut their cake and started their first dance as Husband and Wife, their guests watched on before joining them on the dancefloor.
