Albright Hussey Wedding Photographer | Sam & Hannah
When Sam’s Mum contacted me to enquire if I was free to photograph Sam and Hannah’s wedding, to say I was thrilled would be an understatement!
I had known Sam and his family from an early age. His family were stationed on the same Military base as me and Sam and my Son were best friends and completely inseparable. Even after moving away Sam would often visit and join us on family holidays.
I had watched Sam grow into a fine young man. I was as proud as punch when he set off to America where he continued his studies. It was here that he met Hannah, the love of his life and his soul mate. Their relationship was certainly put to the test when Sam had to return to the UK. Yet in this instance, distance definitely made the heart grow fonder and it wasn’t long before Hannah joined Sam in the UK to become his beautiful bride.
Hannah’s family flew in from America for the big day and as the two families met, they soon became one with a genuine love for each other.
Bridal Prep
My journey to Albright Hussey Manor, in Shropshire began bright and early. As the morning sun rose into the sky, it already had the signs of being a beautiful day. The perfect welcome for the guests from across the pond! As the sun got higher in the sky I was joined by my second shooter for the day, Hermione Tipton who was keen to try some new tricks and together we got started!
Hannah was having bridal prep in the Honeymoon Suite at the Albright Hussey Manor and the room was sensational! Dark wooden panelling graced the room and a beautiful golden light was bathing everyone in its glow. Upon my arrival, I was welcomed with the most warmest of greetings by Hannah and her Bridal Party, and with such a great and relaxed atmosphere I was able to get some great shots.
Hannah’s younger sister was super happy at being Bridesmaid for her big sister, and it was clear to see the strong bond between them.
Hannah’s family all shared a strong and unique bond, no words are needed to see how much love they have for each other.
Hannah looked simply stunning in her full sleeved, elegant wedding gown
With Bridal Prep under my belt, it was soon time to catch up with Hermione and Sam for his Groom Prep.
The beautiful patio and gardens at the Albright Hussey were perfect for Sam and his Groomsmen to relax before the big event.
Ceremony
As the Wedding Guests took their seats for the Wedding Ceremony, and Sam waited for his Bride-to-Be, it was time for one very proud and devoted Father to walk his little girl down the aisle. There are a couple of Hermione’s images in here, she did an amazing job!
In the breath taking grounds of Albright Hussey Manor, with the sun shining down on them, this really was the perfect setting for such a magical wedding.
….but, just in case ….
It was easy to get some stunning photos of the happy couple within the beautifully landscaped gardens of Albright Hussey Manor
Afternoon Tea
With the happy couple having exchanged their vows and both now wearing their shiny new rings, the Wedding Party sat down to Afternoon Tea.
Speeches were delivered, and nobody was able to escape the tears that came with them. I confess I had to wipe the camera dry. Every wedding is emotional for some, some weddings are emotional for all, I am not exaggerating when I say that these wedding speeches, particularly those of Sam and his Dad Stuart reduced us all to emotional wrecks. Luckily I can hide tears behind the camera, everybody else just had to show it. In the image below Sam was really struggling not to cry (Kath and Stu were about to blubber like babies). I love the look of concern on Hannah’s face here.
With speeches done it was back outdoors to enjoy the glorious summer weather
Evening Reception
Sam and Hannah’s first dance as a married couple in view of all their friends and family.
After the first dance, Hannah and her Father made their way to the dance floor for their Father and Daughter dance, again there was not a dry eye in the house! How many times can a wedding reduce the entire party to tears?
As the evening got darker and later Hannah changed into something a little more comfortable, let her hair down and enjoyed her party with her wedding guests.
From watching Sam grow up from a very young age, it truly was an honour to be a part of his big day. Not just from a Photographer’s point of view but from a personal point of view, and I could not be anymore proud of the Man he has become. Sam is currently making plans to join his wife in America, and I wish them both all the happiness in the world, they really are an amazing couple!
Again a huge thank you to Hermione from for coming along for the ride and for the use of your images.
